Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone!
It\’s the most important festival of the Chinese lunar calendar, and this year, it\’s also the first day of the new year.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family reunions, eating mooncakes, and enjoying the beautiful moonlit night. In addition, many people also take the opportunity to clean their homes, do some laundry, and prepare for the new year.
As the festival approaches, I\’m excited to share some traditional customs with you. Mooncakes are the most famous dish of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and they\’re made from flour, sugar, and salt, and fill with sweet bean paste, cheese, and sometimes red wine.
Another important custom is eating lotus seed cake. lotus seed cake is a traditional dish in Southeast Asia, and it\’s made from lotus seed flour and filled with red bean paste and sometimes green chili peppers.
In addition, many people also take the opportunity to have a party or invite friends and family to join them. It\’s a time for sharing stories, singing songs, and enjoying each other\’s company.
As for me, I\’m excited to start the new year off on a positive note. I\’m looking forward to a busy and productive new year, with new opportunities and challenges to meet.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone! Let\’s make this year the best we can, and welcome the new year with joy and hope.
